One Time...

In college I had to take a Geology class. Once for a project we all had to meet early one Saturday morning on Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) to look at rocks. Our teacher made us wear hard hats...I'm fairly certain for humility's sake. We also all had clipboards that had our research questions on them that we had to answer.

So there we are standing on the side of PCH with our hard hats and clipboards looking at rocks. Lots of trucks and cars started pulling up and loading a whole bunch of equipment. All of a sudden a really fancy car pulls up and out gets Mary J Bilge wearing this furry vest thing.
She was there we learned to film a music video. At the time our teacher was standing with his back to the ocean and we were facing him. Mary J was behind him and we were all much more interested in her than listening about rocks. So the teacher made us all turn so we were facing away from Mary J.

At 57 seconds is what we saw her filming. She is wearing a fuzzy vest and standing on rocks near the ocean.

Read-A-Thon 2010

I decided to keep count of all the books that I read this year. I decided mid-February to keep track, so I had to try and remember exactly which books I read since January.

I have read 6 books so far...and I am varying stages of finishing 3 more.
1. Sunday at Tiffany's
2. Immovable Feast
3.Bright Lights Big City
4.The Moon by Night (a Madeleine L'Engle book I hadn't read yet!)
5. The Mysterious Benedict Society (I admit it is Young Adult novel but it has close to 400 pages)
6. The Zookeeper's Wife

Reading:
7. This Side of Paradise (Slow going...I probably would have stopped reading it if some of it didn't a. take place in Princeton, NJ and b. I feel like I should read it)
8. Atonement (so similar to the movie I don't really want to finish it, but I will for the sake of the list)
9. The Chosen (I've decided this is my favorite book. I've read it at least 2 times before...but not recently. It's just so good!)

Also with the help of my sister's library card I have re-newed my relationship with the library. My card has too many unpaid fines, I really should just man-up and pay them.
